No Better Year to Celebrate Our Teachers, FoCo!

At 11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 12th, the Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce and Forsyth County Schools will virtually host the annual Celebration of Excellence, presented by Northside Hospital Forsyth. One of the Chamber’s largest community events, the Celebration of Excellence recognizes the importance of investing in the education of youths. All Chamber and community members are invited to celebrate the community businesses (“Education Partners”) that help schools and students alike throughout the year and honor some of Forsyth County’s best and most influential teachers at this annual event.  The Virtual Celebration of Excellence will also congratulate all of FoCo’s Teachers of the Year and announce the 2021 Forsyth County District-Wide Teacher of the Year.

The 2021 Teacher of the Year Finalists include: Allison Jones from Cumming Elementary School, Kim Sarfaty from Chestatee Elementary School, Sandy Forman from Little Mill Middle School, Rachel Van Dyke from Lambert High School, Katie James from South Forsyth Middle School, Laura Adams from Denmark High School and Kristie Snape from Kelly Mill Elementary School.

This year’s Celebration of Excellence will be presented virtually and the entire community is encouraged to “attend.” While no ticket is required, all are encouraged to register to stay up to date with the latest information on this exciting event. Simply visit www.FCSchooolsCelebration.com to register, then return to the site on Friday, March 12th at 11:30 a.m. to join in the celebration! While we cannot cheer-on our teachers in-person this is an opportunity to thank them for over-coming all of the extra challenges 2020 brought their way!
